Barcelona Dinner Update...

Sorry, no pics to show...I was talking too much and forgot to get my camera out.

Had a fabulous time though! The tapas were excellent and so were the cocktails (Absolute Citron/Soda/Splash of O.J.= HELLO LOVELY!). The company was even better. There were 6 of us total...I knew the organizer of the dinner and I ended up meeting 4 new girls. One has a little boy that's 15 months old, she works 4 days a week and has Fridays off. The other two girls are married and work full time and the last is a single (dating someone exclusively) Pediatrician. They were all so nice, funny and just plain a lot of fun. I must say it was a much needed outing. It was nice to finally meet some people here. Funny enough almost all of them have moved to the area recently. Who would have thought? We all shared where to shop, get your hair done, where not to go, what resturaunts to check out...blah, blah, bah, you know the really important stuff. So, bottom line: great night. And, it actually got a little better when I got home. I decided to check my email and I got an email from a super nice girl that I met at the Playground last weekend when I went with Hunter. She invited my to join her play group on Fridays...apparently, there are about 6 others involved. I never thought I'd be so excited to get asked to join a play group, when did this happen? Anyway, just when I was about to lose it I'm starting to meet people and get my bearings little by little. Phew. I was ready to pack my bags and head back to MA. I think I'll stick out CT for a little longer:) The Gold Coast is starting to shine.

Kids are a great way to get you out and meeting new friends. I've made friends through my daughter that I hope to have for the rest of my life.

Glad things are turning around for you!

I am so glad!!! You deserve a little fun. It's hard to make friends but it does happen! The kids are a great common denominator!

Oh I LOVE Barcelona like I said. And I miss YOUR area SO much and have almost packed up several times here to move back there, so it is funny to me. I never had a hard time meeting people there, but here it has been a daily challenge. You are lucky that you have the kid thing in common that is awesome.

So glad to hear that you had a good time!

Sounds like a great night!

And, so glad to hear you are meeting people. It can be hard but when you meet a few new people, those few tend to lead to more and more new friends! Have fun!
