Cape Update

Well, we had a ball on the Cape. I grabbed a tall skinny caramel latte and Hunter and I hit the highway around 11am Friday. (I can't remember the blog I read about the Skinny lattes on but THANKS, I love 'em!) We were there in 3.5 hrs. No stopping, no crying...great ride all around. My parents were super and so happy to see Hunter, he LOVES them so much. He is quite into his grandfather "Poppy" right now. He just wants to hang around him. It's very sweet. Poppy took Hunter to a work site with about 30 bulldozers, diggers, excavators etc. All of the trucks were parked for the weekend and there was no body around working so they went on these huge trucks and Hunter lost his mind he was so excited. All was perfect on the trucks until H decided to push buttons and set off one of the alarms....let me tell you it was loud! We left shortly after:) The rest of the weekend was very low key. Shopping, hanging out, dinners...lot's of fun. And the ride back....once again supah! No crying...I actually let him watch the movie "The Reef" and he was loving it.....score! The bad news is that I forgot my camera-ugh...next time!

Headed to the Cape!

So, the Mr. has to work in Greenwich all weekend...what the? Oh wait, did I say all weekend? I meant all weekend PLUS Monday. Again...what the? Soooo, feeling like a single Mom I've decided to pack the car and head to the Cape tomorrow morning after I hit the gym to see my family...and watch the Pats of course!

Cons of the trip:
-the Cape won't necessarily look like this photo in January.
-driving 3.5 hrs with a 2 year old.

Pros:
-Too many to list! Can't wait to be on the cape with the fam!

Pink Lobster update-Free shipping through Jan 25th!

Well, I'm happy to report that prior to the holidays I had a bunch of trunk shows (very sucessful-yea PL!) and many orders for both new and old Pink Lobster designs. I had a blast and can't wait to get on the busy train again. Being in a new area (CT) I'm not privy to the trunk show circut here so I need to do a little investigating. I may contact the Darien Sports Shop to see if I can hold a trunk show there prior to Valentines Day...we'll see. And I'm crossing my fingers to have an order placed from a certain Ritz Carlton boutique store...more on that if it transpires (cross your fingers for me). Sanctuary

I finally hung the botanical prints in our bedroom...I'm really loving them. I think my bedroom may be my favorite place to relax. I love curling up on our bed and catching up on my trash TV, celeb mags or when I have more than 20 minutes; read a book. Although I may complain about never getting enough sleep, I do love it when Hunter invades our bed for butterfly and eskimo kisses. Nothing better. Well, maybe something but I'll keep this PG:)

My two loves...

The big guy is helping the little guy with one of his b-day presents. Hunter turned two on Dec. 27th-Happy Birthday to my sweet boy! With every day that goes by my heart grows just a little bigger from having you in my life.

Delish

Okay, I'm not this huge Jessica Seinfeld fan or anything but my Mom gave me this book for X-mas. It's solid. Seriously, I've been having quite a time feeding my 2 year old, he's not very adventurous when it comes to food. The recipes in this book are really healthy, organic and fun food for kids. So far it's been a hit. Thanks Mom!!!

Cape Cod bound

I'm sooooo excited...heading to CC tomorrow morning...can't wait to see my family and have x-mas eve dinner with them! Lot's of great food, Champagne, laughter and warm hearts around a fire...perfection!

Exploring New Territory

That's what Hunter and I are off to do today. This little town of Rowayton is just adorable. Lots to see and do. And the shopping in Darien next door looks dangerous. So many adorable storefronts. A BIG snow storm is expected here any minute so we're off to check this place out before we get stuck in the snow somewhere.

Finally settling into CT

Well, we made it through the move. Unfortunately, little man H got sick...first bug of the season...no fun. As a rule I would have had our entire house unpacked, cleaned, decorated (x-mas decorations included) etc., but it's taken a little longer with the little one being sick and my husband travelling like a mad man. Fine with me though. I'm getting ready to join some parents group, hit the library hour and of course finish some x-mas jewelry orders tomorrow. Oh yeah, and my x-mas cards...I love them and was on the ball and special ordered them over a month ago and now I can't find the disk with the picture of Hunter we plan to use. Hmmm, moving blows. Did I mention that we are having house guests arrive tomorrow...um, yeah.

Sad to be leaving...

packers arrived today...job well done. Movers arrive tomorrow and should have us in our new home by Thursday. Excited for this little adventure but sorry to leave our lovely home that we are almost done renovating. Well, home really is where my family is so I'm off to my new home:) CT, here we come!

By the way...

Girls night out was so much fun...best part...no headache the next morning:) I failed to take pics...but have another outing on Tuesday and the camera is already prepped and ready to shoot!

Off to pack the cherished items...leaving the rest up to the "packers and movers"! (I hate packing)
