Well, here goes nuthin'! Pink Lobster is now available through ETSY.COM. (My PayPal account doesn't get activated until next Tuesday-oh well.) Anyway, I'm very excited to take advantage of this online store until I have my own website! I'm an awful tech person so the online store front is what it is. We'll see how it goes? I've been slammed since my trunk show last week filling orders-a very good place to be-unless of course you enjoy sleeping:) Speaking of...I need my bed...now.
Oh yeah, and seriously, I'm so glad the weekend is coming I can barely stand it. Bring it!

Wow-I've been outta touch lately!
I can't believe how many days have gone by and I haven't gotten a chance to sit down and type. Well, my trunk show last week was off the charts! I'm still on a high after selling a ton of Pink Lobster jewelry and I have a bunch of orders to fill as well:) I got so many terrific comments on the colors, designs and stones...it really made all the hard work worthwhile. I must have been asked 6 times where I'm selling them! Anyway, as much as I truly believe in the product it sure is nice to hear such positive feedback from others. So, that's that and I've still got miles to go before I sleep on that front-Lot's of work still to be done. My son has finally turned the corner...a nasty stomach bug took him down for a good week-NOT fun! But he's back so all is well. My dad had his 60th birthday this weekend! It was really great...all he wanted was family, no big to do...so that's what he got! Get this...my Dad likes John Mayer (and loves music in general) so I got both of us tickets to see him in Boston in July...a little father/daughter bonding time. Should be a riot...me, dad and a million screaming 18 year olds. Very excited none the less:) Then memorial day weekend came along and it flew by. I was in the hospital all day Sat. Did I mention ALL day-not so much fun. We had a big scare with my VERY new big news that I'm pregnant! Yup-the procedure we flew out to San Francisco for worked! After the big scare we felt pretty blessed to see the little almost 7 week old heartbeat and find that it was growing right on track. (Yes, tears of joy were shead.) All is well and the doctors gave us a big thumbs up-fingers crossed there will be no more scares like that! I'll be following up on that business tomorrow. Then Sunday came around and it was over before I knew it...and today...same thing! I'm hoping to luck out and get a babysitter a few days this week to help me out so I can get some work done around the house and with Pink Lobster...and I need to start organizing (weeding out & storing) all of those old baby things that I've got. This is definitely looking like a BUSY summer to come. Hope I hit the beach this week...don't want to miss out on the details of Summer:)

Little man down for the count
My poor little man and I were sharing what I thought was such a sweet moment today and then it turned a little sour, literally. He didn't seem himself and I knew he was tired so we were laying down on the couch together side by side and I was rubbing his head hoping he might nap. He was giving me kisses which is too cute because now he makes the "kissing sound" and he knows he's got it down, and I'd ask him where my eyes were and my nose and he'd touch them with his little hands. Anyway, long story short...within a few minutes of this cuddle session he vomited everywhere. The poor kid. I HATE when he gets sick. It honestly kills me. He's not talking yet (only a few words) and it just tears me up that he can't tell me what's wrong. He started crying because he was scared and continued to get sick again and my stomach actually ached for him. Then all he wanted to do for an hour was snuggle in my arms until he finally fell asleep and napped for almost 2 hours. He awoke and has been fine ever since...fingers crossed it was a quick bug that he got. Did I mention that during all of this our contractors showed up early (does that EVER happen with contractors-I think NOT) and started demo on our house which lasted all day(renovating/addition going on). Suffice to say, it was challenging taking care of my little man the way a mom does best when they get sick with 30 strangers working on our house. But, I did my best.

Maya Angelou
A good friend of mine sent me a bunch of quotes by Maya and this one resonated with me...
"I've learned that making a "living" is not the same thing as "making a life."
So true. I've heard it before but thought I'd share it. For me, making a life sure is much more fulfilling than making a living...no matter how much you love your job. I L-O-V-E-D my job in Advertising but without my family and friends, outside interests, and stopping to smell the roses every once and a while...what's life? You know what I'm sayin'?

A very happy belated Mother's Day to all you mom's out there! Hope your day was wonderful:)
Busy Wednesday!
Well, the Mr. is out of town on business so my Mom came to spend a few days with Hunter and I. Honestly, it was mainly to help me with H. Mom took H to the Cape today so that I had the house to myself and could get a few things done. I didn't know what to do first! I made two more necklaces for Pink Lobster, 3 bracelets, spoke with the designer doing my logo and made a few tweeks (can't wait to see the revisions!), cleaned two bathrooms, did 3 loads of laundry, went grocery shopping, went to the fish market, started to organize our bedroom and did a little weeding on our walkway.....WHEW! Honestly, I'm exhausted but I'm soooo excited that I got so much done-----and I still have my mom here tomorrow:) Lucky, lucky me! My mom is seriously an earth angel. She's beautiful in every way and my best friend. Once again, lucky, lucky me! Until tomorrow fellow bloggers.....

Grill this!
All I can say is that I love the damn grill. I'm considering not putting it away, even during these New England winters! So, here's the deal. I've been grilling like every night and I LOVE that I don't have a mess to clean up. It's the best! And let's get real (oh, that was so Dr. Phil, sorry!), everything tastes better on a grill rather than under the oven broiler or in the George Foreman grill! So, here's what I cooked tonight...I should have taken a picture because if I don't say so myself it looked quite lovely- a very healthy and colorful meal!
Grilled chicken served on a bed of spinach salad-dressed with a citrus salsa, blue cheese and a touch of balsamic vinegarette. Yum!
What You'll need:
-Chicken
-Spinach Salad
-Crumbled blue cheese
-balsamic vinaigrette
-*Citrus Salsa

-3 tbs. chopped cilantro
-Salt & Pepper
-1 ripe avocado, peeled and diced

Fun in the sun!
We're having lot's of fun outside today. It's beautiful out! Close to 80 degrees I think! One of those days that makes you lazy in the sun, one of those days that deserves a fruity cocktail with an umbrella and one of those days that makes you look at the grass, sky, trees and flowers and take in all it's beauty. Well, the little man has made me completely tired today so I actually think I'm going to try and grab a cat nap now.....until later!

Stationary & Bags.....
Okay, so I'm very new at this blogging stuff and don't know the half of what's out there but had to share a few new websites I found through bloggers who posted a comments on my site. The first is English Tea Paperie (www.englishteapaperie.com) you gotta check out her stuff. Period. Her hand designed note cards and stationary are beautiful...and not to mention she has a bunch of other goodies online as well...fabric belts, fabric wallets etc. For those who appreciate beautiful stationary check it out, it won't disappoint.
The next find I came across was LuLu Belle Bags. Yummy! Great custom handbags and terrific preppy belts to boot! If you're in the market for a new spring bag definitely check out this site (www.lulubellebags.com), the fabrics which you have to choose from are great!
Enjoy some shoppin'!

Made In San Francisco, again?
Well, we've just returned from a trip to SF which happens to be our old home. A pinch of pleasure was thrown into the trip but mainly we were out there trying to expand our family. Why travel across the country you ask? Well, in order for us to have had Hunter we had to do IVF (no complaints we got H out of it!) and in doing so we had a few embryos which were left over from the process...we decided to freeze them and store them in SF. Cryogenics...it's crazy... it's Austin Powers style crazy! Anyway, we flew out to SF last week to give it another shot after a month of prep with medication. My husband is officially a Doctor now, he's an expert at administering my daily injections. Seriously, I mean it he's really good, I barely feel the injections. (insert minor complaint here) However... the aftermath of the shots makes my ass feel like I have a bunch of rocks in it from all the shots but who's looking anyways:) Long story short all went well, we're back and we're just crossing our fingers for some good news! I happened to find this T-shirt at a little baby boutique in Noe Valley and I had to get it for Hunter...it's so perfect since he was conceived and born in SF:) Can't wait to see the little man in his new tee. Hopefully someday another little one of our's can wear this tee too!
